Introduction to Defensive Shotgun 100
Short Description: This class starts with the basic operation of the shotgun, shooting techniques, reloading, and considerations when using the shotgun for self-defense.
More Details: The shotgun is a time tested firearm that has a number of uses. This class focuses on using the shotgun as an instrument for self-defense. We cover all the basics of the shotgun's nomenclature, operation, loading, unloading, and reloading. We then move to shooting drills with the shotgun, reloading when empty, combat loading, and examine advantages and disadvantages when using the shotgun for self-defense.
Required Equipment: A reliable shotgun, a sling, 75 rounds of slug ammunition, eye protection, ear protection.

Introduction to Carbine Rifle 100
Short Description: This class starts with the basic operation of the AR-15 platform, nomenclature, shooting techniques, reloading, and more.
More Details: This eight (8) hour class explores the operation of the AR-15 rifle and gives an overview of direct gas impingement and piston driven operating systems. We also cover firearm safety, shooting fundamentals, stance, grip, breathing, re-loading, and Phase 1 malfunctions when deploying the AR rifle.
Required Equipment: An AR style rifle, 2 magazines, approximately 150 rounds of ammunition, eye, and ear protection. A reliable sling is required for this class.
Recommended Equipment: A plate carrier, vest, and/or magazine pouches.

NRA Basic Rifle
Short Description: Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe use of a rifle in target shooting.
More Details: This course is at least 14 hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot rifles. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions; cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet; take a Basics of Rifle Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate.

NRA Basic Shotgun
Short Description: Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for the safe and proper use of a shotgun in shooting a moving target.
More Details: This course is at least ten-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning how to shoot shotguns at moving targets. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; shotgun parts and operation; shotgun shell components; shotgun shell malfunctions; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting at straight away and angled targets; cleaning; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Shotgun Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet; take a Basics of Shotgun Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate.
